Digital Switchover 2012 UK

During the run up to digital switchover, work is being carried out on TV & Radio transmitters throughout the country. This is to get them ready for the digital switchover. Some areas have already gone completely digital whereas others wont go completely digital until 2012. During this time work will be carried out and sometimes your TV (Analogue & Digital/Freeview) and Radio (Analogue/FM & Digital/DAB) services will be disrupted. These disruptions will only be temporary ranging from a few mins to a full day.

Listed below is the latest information on todays planned works, if your area isn't in the list then check further down to see the weeks planned engineering works.

These are only engineering works that are due to the digital switchover, other regular routine works and maintenance can be found on the BBC Website

Further down the page is a list areas and dates that digital switchover will start and finish on. You may need to retune your TV/Freeview box on both of these dates to make sure you continue to recieve all of your TV and Radio channels.

During the two stage Digtital Switchover you will need to retune your freeview TV receiving equipment at least twice to make sure you continue to receive all of your favourite TV channels. Click here to see our guide on retuning your TV and information on local transmitters in your area.
